Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Solution Architect II to lead enterprise architecture efforts within a Hub organization. You will partner with architects, developers and IT leaders to design future state architectures aligning with business strategy and value delivery.

You will mentor staff, evaluate emerging technologies, and promote standardized patterns and reference architectures while ensuring reuse and cost-effectiveness across the IT landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years in an IT architecture role (Enterprise, Solution, Integration, or Application).
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or similar).
• Strong influencing, communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to assess requirements and design architecture supporting business outcomes.
• Experience with cloud, APIs, integrations, and modern architectures.
• Familiarity with both modern and legacy environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of solution architectures within a Hub, balancing legacy and new systems.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to establish architecture standards.
• Digest business requirements to design architectures for desired outcomes.
• Create reference architectures and promote reuse and standardization.
• Mentor IT staff on technologies, patterns, and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging tech and trends to deliver value and simplification.
• Deliver technical and business presentations to diverse audiences.
• Ensure solutions emphasize reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Uphold TRUCKS cultural principles: transparency, resiliency, learning, simplicity.
