Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8-10 years of software development or enterprise architecture experience, with recent hands-on coding responsibilities.
• Proven experience architecting and integrating customer-facing technology solutions.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and system integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to create technical designs, architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and proofs of concept.
• Experience working with software engineers or technical leads to implement architectural direction.
• Advanced experience with JavaScript and modern web-application development.
• Experience translating business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Shape the solution architecture and technical roadmap for the organization’s customer-facing digital ecosystem.
• Translate product roadmaps and business objectives into scalable technical solutions and quarterly technical plans.
• Partner with technical leads, product leaders, and global digital teams to establish architectural direction.
• Remain hands-on with development by writing code, reviewing technical solutions, and supporting implementation.
• Build proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies, integration patterns, and architectural approaches.
• Design scalable APIs, system integrations, and event-driven solutions.
• Create architecture diagrams, system workflows, integration models, and other technical visualizations.
• Guide modernization of customer-facing capabilities including e-commerce, self-service, order/shipment visibility, and more.
• Work with software engineers to turn architectural decisions into production-ready technology.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a development organization of 8-10 developers.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs related to scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and speed to market.
• Help solve complex challenges involving APIs, data movement, system integrations, product information, and digital commerce.
• Communicate architecture decisions clearly to engineers, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Connect technical decisions to measurable improvements in digital customer experience.
• Support transition from legacy Salesforce Commerce to a unified composable global web platform.
