This role is ideal for an experienced architect who enjoys leading from discovery through delivery, collaborating across teams, and turning complex business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture efforts from early discovery through implementation, helping define technical direction and align teams on the best approach.
• Design architecture across systems, integrations, data flows, security, scalability, reliability, and supportability.
• Establish and communicate architectural standards, reference patterns, guiding principles, and technical roadmaps.
• Provide governance and architectural oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle to keep solutions aligned with approved direction.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts such as system context diagrams, integration designs, data flow diagrams, and decision records.
• Evaluate options through prototypes or proof-of-concepts when needed to validate feasibility and reduce delivery risk.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies, address technical issues, and support informed decision-making.
• Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and trade-offs, and help recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Define non-functional requirements related to security, performance, recoverability, maintainability, and operational support.
• Mentor engineers and architects, support knowledge sharing, and contribute to continuous improvement in architecture practices.
• Participate in peer reviews and root-cause analysis efforts, offering long-term solutions to complex technical challenges.

Skills

• 7+ years of progressive experience in technology, with a focus on software development, systems integration, or solution delivery.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis and systems design.
• 3+ years of experience leading solution architecture initiatives across cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in solution architecture across systems, integrations, data domains, security, and operational support.
• Experience designing enterprise platforms using sound architecture frameworks, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, data flows, and cross-system interactions.
• Solid software development experience and familiarity with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and engineering practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to influence without direct authority, build alignment, and guide teams through ambiguity.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to weigh risk, cost, complexity, feasibility, and long-term maintainability.
• Experience defining and evolving architecture standards, governance processes, and best practices.
• Ability to connect technical decisions to business, product, data, security, and user experience needs.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience developing prototypes or proofs of concept to validate architecture approaches.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and supporting architecture knowledge transfer.
