Job summary

Pegasus Knowledge Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead enterprise solution architecture across cloud platforms, integrations, and modern app development.

The role translates business needs into scalable, secure technology solutions, guides technical teams, and collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to drive modernization using Azure, AWS, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365. This position requires strong leadership and the ability to deliver architecture governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with SaaS/PaaS platforms, IaaS environments, and custom software development.
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, modern architectures, and data interoperability.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern development frameworks.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, vendor management, and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solution architectures.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology platforms, software solutions, and services.
• Design and oversee architectures for applications, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and system integrations.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security, compliance, and data protection requirements.
• Develop architecture diagrams, reference models, standards, and governance documentation.
• Define architecture principles and patterns while identifying tech debt and modernization opportunities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to support roadmaps and planning.
• Support platforms across publication workflows, knowledge management, research, and collaboration.
• Work with technologies such as Azure, AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, APIs, LIMS/ELN, and custom applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Experience designing and implementing complex enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with custom software development, SaaS/PaaS platforms, and IaaS environments.
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, modern application architectures, and data interoperability.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern development frameworks.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, vendor management, and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Workday, or research-enabling technology platforms.
• Additional certifications in cloud technologies, enterprise applications, or custom application development.
