Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our Systems/Information Technology team in Columbus, IN. You will design scalable architectures, drive standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business-focused technology solutions.

In this role, you’ll lead architecture workflows, establish reference models, and guide pilots to validate new capabilities while aligning with enterprise strategy and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of total professional experience in software development, application engineering, or related technical roles.
• Prior hands-on experience as a Software Developer and/or Technical Lead is required.
• Complex Application Solution Design utilizing technologies like Java/Angular/Kubernetes/.Net/PhP is needed.
• Architecture development framework and methodology to design systems landscape and interactions within enterprise, utilizing Mulesoft, Azure APIM, Azure Data Factory, etc.
• Deep knowledge in DevSecOps areas of GitHub Actions, Copado, SonarQube and Veracode to suggest development teams better their code standards.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable architectures by defining component structures and interfaces across systems.
• Evaluate design options with cost-benefit analyses aligning to business and tech needs.
• Champion enterprise architecture standards and best practices across the organization.
• Create and maintain global reference architectures for consistency across teams and regions.
• Influence solution development by driving architectural improvements and translating strategy into practical tech.
• Build partnerships with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver valuable solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and pilot proofs-of-concept to validate new capabilities.
• Assess capacity and future tech needs to support growth and long-term objectives.
