Job summary

System One is seeking a SolidWorks Drafter on a contract basis in Bellevue, WA. You will create and maintain SolidWorks models and detailed drawings for advanced reactor design, ensuring ASME Y14.1/Y14.5 compliance and configuration control via PDM/PLM.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of SolidWorks experience, strong GD&T, and experience checking fabrication drawings, with a DFM/DFA mindset for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SolidWorks experience.
• Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience reviewing fabrication drawings.
• Background in mechanical and machine design.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for reactor structures.
• Develop and maintain complex mechanical designs in SolidWorks.
• Produce robust CAD models to support rapid design evolution.
• Conduct trade studies and document decisions.
• Create technical presentations and reports.
• Prepare drawings per ASME Y14.1 and Y14.5.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups and document calculations.
• Review documents and contribute to design standards.
• Maintain configuration control using PDM/PLM.
