Sanborn Head is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Civil or Environmental Engineering) with solid waste expertise to lead projects and grow the firm’s presence in this market. You will manage engineers and scientists, secure work, and serve as Engineer-of-Record when needed.

The role offers hybrid or remote work options depending on location, with opportunities for growth toward ownership for the right candidate. Background in landfill design, stormwater, and geotechnical engineering is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in solid waste engineering or 8 years with MS; PE licensure within 6 months is preferred.
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; MS preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical strategies and oversee production of technical work products.
• Lead a team of engineers and scientists; manage projects financially and technically.
• Secure and develop clientele; prepare proposals and project budgets.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record and coordinate with clients and project teams.
• Oversee reporting, data interpretation, and deliverables.
