Job summary

A leading environmental firm in Florida is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Solid Waste Engineer to lead and design projects in the solid waste sector. This role requires managing large projects, mentoring teams, and maintaining client relationships. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 8 years of experience and relevant engineering qualifications. A competitive salary of $140,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year, along with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance, are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience specific to design and engineering.
• 5+ years working at an engineering consulting firm preferred.
• 3-5+ years working in solid waste/landfill industry required.
• Business development experience preferred.
• PE License required.
• Valid clear Driver’s License.
• Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Managing large solid waste projects primarily in the southeastern US.
• Managing, mentoring, and supervising project teams.
• Develop and prepare proposals, schedules, and budgets.
• Understand and implement local, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Coordinate tasks and scheduling effectively.
• Coordinate with vendors and sub-consultants.
• Preparing design plans and specifications.
• Develop fill, cell construction, closure, and stormwater design plans.

We’d love to meet you at Integrity Environmental Solutions. Integrity is an ENR Top 200 Environmental Firm specializing in the Landfill Gas, Solid Waste, and Renewable Energy sectors. We have experienced rapid growth and are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Solid Waste Engineer to lead our program and/or design efforts in that space. The role can be exclusively a senior engineering technical position – or a senior Director/Program Manager working with our existing client base. We’ll match the role and the location to fit your needs! The selected candidate will generally manage and lead projects in the solid waste sector involving landfill cell design, planning, design modifications, stormwater management system design, landfill closure, construction quality assurance, and solid waste permitting. Periodic travel is required based on project demands. This is an office‑based role – however the candidate will preferably office at one of our existing southeastern US locations and will need to lead engineers at one or more of those locations which include Richmond VA, Marietta GA, Columbia SC, or Tampa FL. We will consider other arrangements for the right person.

This role will be required to manage and maintain contact with clients, manage schedules, and help support career development with staff engineers. This roll will also coordinate with our Environmental Science team and Landfill gas engineering team. This individual will need to be able to provide senior review/engineering certifications for a variety of tasks including construction drawings, engineering reports and letters, permit applications, calculations, business development, and proposals. Ideal candidates have an existing client base and now how to win new projects and contracts.
