Job summary

This full-time supervisory role oversees landfill operations, recycling programs, environmental monitoring, and fleet maintenance.

The position requires strong leadership in solid waste management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, with an engineering or environmental science background and experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental science.
Four or more years supervisory and administrative management experience in solid waste.
Valid non-commercial driver's license.

Responsibilities

Oversee landfill, convenience center, and recycling operations, including maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Manage landfill construction and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and county environmental laws.
Direct budget preparation and contract administration; develop and implement solid waste policies and procedures.
Review and contract proposals for engineering standards; monitor contractor performance.
Coordinate with County officials, contractors, and the public to resolve operating problems.
