EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC is seeking a seasoned Solid Waste Engineer in Maryland to join our interdisciplinary team. You will design and support solid waste infrastructure projects from concept through construction and operations, serving public and private clients with emphasis on environmental compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Environmental Engineering, PE or EIT, and at least 10 years of design experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) actively working toward licensure.
• Minimum 10 years of environmental infrastructure design experience, with a focus on solid waste, landfill, and organics management facilities.
• Preferred: Experience with construction-phase services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to meet project goals.
• Support evaluations and feasibility studies for solid waste and organics management programs and facilities.
• Plan, design, permit, and support construction of facilities such as: landfill cells and closures, landfill gas management and reuse systems, composting facilities, transfer stations, convenience centers, integrated facility campuses.
• Provide operational support for solid waste programs and infrastructure.
• Assist with other environmental and civil engineering projects as needed.
• Local travel to job sites on occasion.
