Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Solar Technician III for our Sequoia Solar Farm in the U.S. The role focuses on maintaining PV assets, troubleshooting electrical and control systems, and supporting continuous improvement across renewables operations.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in electrical/solar maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with SCADA, Maximo, and MS Office. Field-based, with occasional travel and on-call rotation; safety training is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 5+ years in electrical, solar, industrial, or power generation asset maintenance.
• Advanced troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Ability to read and apply electrical drawings, schematics, and docs.
• Experience with PV solar equipment, AC/DC systems, and related testing.
• Proficient with MS Office, CMMS/Maximo, and SCADA systems.
• Commitment to safety incl. LOTO and electrical safety practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot solar facility equipment to maximize energy production.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on PV systems, electrical equipment, and BOP assets.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues using schematics, SCADA, and docs.
• Support planning and execution of maintenance with proper documentation and work orders (Maximo).
• Promote safety culture and participate in hazard assessments; serve as safety role model.
• Identify equipment risks and suggest corrective actions for reliability improvements.
• Provide guidance and on-job training to other technicians and collaborate with operations teams.
