Job summary

MN8 Energy is seeking a Solar Technician III to perform advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance on solar, energy storage, and EV charging installations, providing leadership to junior technicians and ensuring peak system performance.

You will follow safety policies, complete required training, read schematics, and troubleshoot to quickly return equipment to service, while documenting work and supporting ongoing site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate in English both orally and writing
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet based program navigation.
• Proven experience understanding and implementing OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand basic design drawings and schematics.
• Intermediate to advance electrical theory knowledge.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform and interpret IV Curve tracing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate integrity, initiative, work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality on all tasks.
• Complete safety training and ensure policies are understood before work begins.
• Attend weekly safety meetings and provide direction to Solar Technicians 1 & 2.
• Ensure PPE is received, inspected, and used per safety procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar, energy storage and EV charging installations.
• Troubleshoot installations to determine root cause and necessary repairs.
• Complete tasks safely, correctly, and on time.
• Maintain and document tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
