Job summary

AES Clean Energy is seeking a Solar Technician II to support O&M at the Platteview project in Ashland, Nebraska. You will perform maintenance, switching, and safety-compliance tasks on solar PV sites and substations of utility-scale plants.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year technical degree or Journeyman qualifications and 3+ years in PV O&M or power-plant work. Strong hands-on skills and the ability to train others are valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications required.
• 3+ years PV O&M or construction in power facilities preferred.
• Electrical fundamentals and control devices knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M on solar PV sites and substations.
• Carry out maintenance, switching orders, and safety compliance.
• Work independently or in crews to support the plant.
• Keep equipment and facilities operating to industry standards.
