Job summary

AES CE is seeking a Solar Technician II for the Platteview project in Nebraska. This role covers O&M activities for solar PV sites and substations, ensuring operations meet industry best practices and safety standards. The site requires daily commuting to the Platteview location.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year technical degree or Journeyman qualifications, 3+ years PV O&M experience, and strong hands-on skills with solar equipment and Power Plant operations.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
• 3+ years’ PV O&M solar technician experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in a power plant; 1+ year in PV Solar O&M or Construction.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned O&M activities at solar PV sites and substations.
• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance for equipment.
• Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders; ensure safety compliance.
• Work independently or in crews; support environmental requirements.
