Job summary

Invenergy is seeking an Advanced Solar Technician for Hollis Creek Energy Center near Bastrop. You will operate and maintain solar site equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and support neighboring sites as needed.

The role requires 4+ years in renewables or 8+ years relevant experience, outdoor work, and travel up to 30%. You’ll join a safety-sensitive environment with day-to-day maintenance and occasional night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years renewable energy O&M experience or 8+ years relevant experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to climb and work safely from a portable step ladder.
• Follow procedures with minimal oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to move/manipulate up to 100 pounds (45 kg).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site equipment.
• Conduct vegetation management and operate large equipment.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, and substation faults.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems of the site.
• Daily site maintenance with safety gear and inspections.
• Work a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, with overtime and some night work.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and a clean, safe work environment.
