Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Senior Project Buyer – Solar to develop relationships with suppliers, solicit bids, analyze quotations and select suppliers to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities include purchasing at favorable prices, tracking orders through delivery, coordinating with project teams, and visiting job sites to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or related field.
• 4+ years procurement experience or similar role.
• Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials preferred.
• Understanding of the construction industry preferred.
• Negotiating, organizing, planning and strong verbal/communication skills.
• Active listening and ability to handle feedback from diverse stakeholders.
• Software experience; current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Purchase items and services at favorable price while meeting quality/spec requirements.
• Propose transactions for higher authority approval before final action.
• Arrange returns for unacceptable products to suppliers.
• Track order status from placement to delivery and update project teams.
• Facilitate and run meetings internally and externally.
• Enter purchase agreements and maintain supplier contact to ensure timely delivery.
• Enter purchase orders and maintain supplier contact to ensure timely delivery.
• Visit job sites or offices annually to build effective working relationships.
• Work with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
