Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Senior Project Buyer – Solar to develop relationships with suppliers, solicit bids, analyze quotations and select suppliers to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities include purchasing at favorable prices, tracking orders through delivery, coordinating with project teams, and visiting job sites to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or related field.
• 4+ years procurement experience or similar role.
• Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials preferred.
• Understanding of the construction industry preferred.
• Negotiating, organizing, planning and strong verbal/communication skills.
• Active listening and ability to handle feedback from diverse stakeholders.
• Software experience; current driver's license.

We are seeking a Senior Project Buyer – Solar that will develop relationships with suppliers, solicit bids, analyze quotations, and select suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchase items and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements, and other factors
• Propose purchase transactions that higher authority approve prior to final action
• Arrange returns for unacceptable products to suppliers
• Track order status from the time of placing the order until delivery and communicate status to project teams
• Facilitate and run meetings internally and externally
• Enter purchase agreements and retain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of material on a timely basis
• Enter purchase orders and retain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of material on a timely basis
• Visit job sites or offices annually at a minimum to develop more effective working relationships
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or related discipling or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
• 4+ years of procurement experience and/or experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials, purchasing processes, and procedures (preferred)
• Understanding of the construction industry (preferred)
• Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal, and communication skills
• Strong customer service and analytical skills
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
• Software experienceCurrent driver's license
