Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a maintenance leader for PV solar sites, reporting to the Plant Manager and supporting the VP/Arica assets in Desert Center, CA. This role focuses on safe practices, high plant availability, and a robust maintenance program across electrical and mechanical systems.

You will supervise maintenance activities, manage spares, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements, while coordinating with management and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience operating Commercial Solar plants or 5 years in instrumentation & controls, MV/HV electrical work.
• Qualified to perform all routine and emergency operations at an electric generation facility and HV switchyard.
• Experience with plant systems and computerized maintenance management systems (SAP).
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems; troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting instruments; safe equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safe work practices for PV solar plants and PV solar BOP repairs.
• Maintain site availability at high operability to meet contractual obligations and budget.
• Manage plant maintenance program with emphasis on safety, planning/scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Monitor and report on manufacture and third-party maintenance and repair efforts.
• Supervise and assist in troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance supplies, and inventory; reorder as necessary.
• Inspect repairs and scheduled maintenance for quality assurance.
