Job summary

System One is seeking a Sr Solar Farm Technician for Cantua Creek, CA. This onsite role leads the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of solar and BESS site assets, handling the most complex diagnostics and acting as the technical escalation point.

You will mentor technicians, drive preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure safety, reliability, and performance across regional plants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; related engineering degree preferred.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
• 6+ years in renewable energy, power plant ops, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of renewable energy at all plants in the region, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operation within design parameters.
• Monitor plant performance and resolve operational abnormalities to meet performance expectations.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repairs of plant components, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure long-term profitability and plant reliability.
• Conduct operational analysis supporting Asset Management and Project Development activities.
• Create, review, and distribute operational reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Stay informed of relevant regulations, codes, and standards affecting the industry.
• Develop supplier relationships that yield beneficial synergies.
• Manage contractors, act as local liaison, and develop long-range plans working with civic groups as required.
• Coordinate, supervise, and monitor third-party contractors on-site.
