Job summary

Deriva Energy, a Brookfield Renewable company and leading US renewables developer, seeks a Senior Manager, Development to advance solar and storage opportunities across the United States. You will lead mid- to late‑stage projects, coordinating land use, permitting, interconnection, and commercial contracts toward construction handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Urban Planning/Studies, Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
• Six (6) years or more of relevant experience.
• Masters degree in Related Field.
• Eight (8) or more years of experience with six (6) or more years specifically in utility-scale renewable energy development.
• Extensive knowledge of wholesale electricity markets, interconnection process, real estate contracts, tax abatements and renewable energy technologies & policy incentives.
• Proven experience developing and successfully building renewable energy projects.
• Demonstrated project success in PJM, MISO, SPP and/or SERC markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a pipeline of solar-focused project investments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to advance projects through approvals.
• Manage development budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
• Engage with landowners, regulators and stakeholders to obtain permits.
• Prepare transaction materials for senior management and deal closure.
