Job summary

Brookfield Renewable, a global leader in renewable power, seeks a Manager, Project Development for Modal Power to advance late‑stage solar and storage projects across the United States. You will shape strategy, drive development activities, and support commercial initiatives to maximize value toward NTP.

You will lead critical workstreams, engage utilities and partners, and coordinate with Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Asset Management to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, Environmental Science, Energy Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy development, origination, project finance, commercial strategy, or related fields.
• Strong financial modeling and commercial analysis capabilities.
• Strong project management skills, including schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Experience leading cross‑functional project teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the advancement of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from late-stage development through Notice to Proceed (NTP).
• Develop project business cases, financial models, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations.
• Manage development workstreams: permitting, interconnection, engineering, land, procurement, commercial, and pre-construction readiness.
• Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders including utilities, consultants, landowners, permitting agencies, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and counterparties.
• Lead commercial evaluations, market assessments, and negotiations supporting project development, revenue contracting, financing, and procurement.
• Prepare project forecasts, budgets, risk assessments, diligence materials, and decision-support presentations for executives, lenders, and boards.
