Job summary

Civic Works in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior Solar Crew Leader to guide field crews on residential solar installations, ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance while mentoring OJTs and coordinating with vendors.

Reporting to the Solar Field Manager, you will develop teams, manage installation workflows, perform QA and permit readiness, and maintain thorough documentation, with a strong emphasis on customer service and community impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years solar installation experience.
• Experience leading installation crews in the field.
• Experience working directly with vendors or manufacturers for equipment issues and RMAs.
• Experience training new solar installers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage residential solar installation crews on-site.
• Review project plans and coordinate installation workflow with team members.
• Oversee work quality of all installers on site and ensure safety standards.
• Troubleshoot system issues during and after installation; provide technical assistance.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of required documentation (job notes, forms, photos).
• Submit daily reports to the Solar Field Manager and coordinate QA/RMA processes.
