Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. in Irvine, CA, seeks a Solar Activation Specialist to lead activation and commissioning of solar and energy storage in new home communities.

You will manage onsite activations and remote PV/battery activations, reporting on dashboard performance and coordinating with Field Managers to ensure readiness for PTO. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in solar/related fields, strong CRM skills, and a hands-on approach across residential trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 5+ years of professional work experience or an associate’s degree with 8+ years including 2+ years in solar.
• Strong computer skills, including data entry, email, and navigating CRM platforms.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Strong multitasking skills across phone, emails, and CRM updates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience or related client-facing role.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage schedules.
• Comfortable with high-volume customer engagement across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Attend new community kickoff meetings and preconstruction walkthroughs.
• Coordinate with builders, installers, and internal teams to resolve commissioning issues.
• Guide installers and homeowners through commissioning sequences and troubleshooting.
• Serve as technical SME on Q CELLS PV and ESS systems for field operations.
• Plan travel routes to maximize site-visit efficiency and hit activation targets.
• Inspect installations for as-built discrepancies affecting inspections or performance.
• Own commissioning quality and on-time phase completion.
• Conduct quality audits of PV and battery installations and verify alignment with standards.
