Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Software Test Engineer III to verify software design and validate implementation for Gentex products. This on-site role drives verification strategies, test framework development, and toolchain automation to ensure quality across multiple projects and product lines.

You will mentor engineers, review requirements and designs for testability, and lead root-cause analyses while aligning with ASPICE and safety processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline required.
• 6+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility in software verification, validation, or embedded systems development.
• Experience developing automated software test solutions and verification frameworks.
• Experience with embedded software and hardware systems.
• Experience interpreting software requirements, product specifications, and customer requirements.
• Experience participating in technical reviews and cross-functional product development activities.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and quality processes.
• Experience supporting ASPICE, Functional Safety, or similar process frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of comprehensive software verification strategies for complex products and programs.
• Define and improve test methodologies, standards, and best practices across projects.
• Architect, develop, and maintain automated test solutions and verification frameworks.
• Evaluate and improve embedded software test toolchains to increase automation and coverage.
• Develop and deploy verification tools, simulators, emulators, and utilities for evolving needs.
• Provide technical leadership in verification planning, test architecture, and execution strategy.
• Review requirements and designs to ensure testability and early quality risk identification.
• Lead investigations and root cause analyses for software and system issues.
