Abbott in Lake Forest, IL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SET) for our AlinIQ informatics products in Core Lab Division. This on‑site role involves designing, developing, executing, and reporting automated tests in a regulated environment, with SME responsibilities for automation practices.

The SET will lead automation efforts, mentor other engineers, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and compliance in server, web, cloud, and mobile informatics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2+ years of Software Quality Assurance in a regulated industry.
• Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Moderate understanding of test‑driven methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical & problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute automated testing for informatics products in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead testing efforts in automation, design, development, execution, review and reporting of testing for AlinIQ informatics products.
• Provide input to developers on testing procedures and requirements, schedules, or potential problems.
• Mentor junior testers and ensure proper QA processes are followed.
