Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This on-site role requires full-time presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

The candidate must have an active Secret clearance with potential for higher clearance. The role emphasizes coordination with vendors, software and system integration, and participation in SE Reviews, ECPs, and

Qualifications

At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
Conduct analysis of software defects
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
