Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Support Engineer to own complex production issues across our SaaS platforms.

You will work hands-on with application code, databases, and cloud infrastructure to diagnose, fix, and prevent issues, while collaborating with engineering and product teams. You’ll contribute to automation, AI-assisted tooling, and modernization efforts, mentoring peers and documenting best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering, application support, or production support in a SaaS environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across application code, databases, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier 3 production support efforts, diagnosing and resolving escalated issues from start to finish.
• Troubleshoot issues in Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL, and related tech; implement fixes.
• Perform root-cause analysis across apps, databases, integrations, and infrastructure.
