Job summary

RTX Cedar Rapids is seeking a Principal Software Security Engineer who will also serve as a Product Owner. The role centers on embedded C software development, security integration, and leading Agile product ownership across multiple teams.

You will drive backlogs, coordinate with hardware/FPGA teams, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, reliable critical communications products. A secret clearance is required from day one; onsite at Cedar Rapids, IA.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or advanced degree with 5+ years
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government secret clearance is required
• Experience with embedded C in full software lifecycle and integration with hardware/FPGA

Responsibilities

• Lead software development and integration for multi-threaded embedded C product codebase.
• Serve as Product Owner in an Agile environment, manage and prioritize backlogs.
• Support PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across software, hardware, FPGA, and systems engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers and promote secure, reliable 제품 development and continuous improvement.
