Job summary

RTX McKinney, TX, is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer to join the Software Product Assurance team onsite. You will develop security-focused embedded software across platforms and drive secure development practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional Engineering teams to implement TDMC-based execution development and deployment requirements while ensuring compliance with security standards for real-time sensor software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years software experience OR Master’s in STEM from an accredited university.
Experience with C/C++ and scripting languages like Python or Perl.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban or similar development environment as part of a software team.
Education or on-the-job experience in RTOS; Kernel or Device Driver development; Software Integration; or similar.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

Provide world-class security software for deployed sensor systems.
Apply security principles for embedded software design, development, integration, and testing.
Develop software applications using multiple programming languages on various platforms.
Ensure Software Product Assurance processes are followed on programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement TDMC-based execution development and deployment requirements.
Support a common development environment to enable program ability to leverage capabilities.
