MDS Staffing is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer to take ownership of complex production issues across our SaaS platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role working directly with application code, databases, and cloud infrastructure to diagnose root causes and implement long-term fixes.

You will troubleshoot with Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL, and collaborate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support to improve stability, performance, and reliability.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in SaaS software engineering or production support.
• Strong troubleshooting across code, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL; AngularJS familiarity.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, logging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and authentication/SSO.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical ownership, and the ability to prioritize and resolve customer-impacting issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Tier 3 production support and resolve escalated issues.
• Troubleshoot code involving Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Perform root-cause analysis across apps, databases, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support to improve stability and reliability.
• Develop scripts and AI-assisted tools to streamline diagnostics.
• Contribute to product modernization and migration from legacy technologies.
• Develop deep knowledge of the company's SaaS applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve technical documentation.
