Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer in the United States.

You will own Tier 3 production support, work directly with Rails, React, TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure, and drive long-term improvements across applications and integrations. You’ll partner with engineering, QA, DevOps, product, and support teams to boost reliability and performance while contributing to automation, modernization, and AI-assisted troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or production support in a SaaS environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across application code, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL; familiarity with AngularJS.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, logging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and authentication/SSO technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own Tier 3 production support, investigating and resolving escalated issues from diagnosis through resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL; implement code fixes.
• Perform root-cause analysis across apps, databases, integrations, and infra to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with Software Eng, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support to improve stability and performance.
• Develop scripts, tools, and AI-assisted solutions to streamline troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Contribute to software enhancements and modernization initiatives including migrations to modern frameworks.
• Become a technical expert on the company’s SaaS apps and support customers.
• Mentor junior engineers, improve technical docs, and establish best practices.
