Job summary

RTX in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (Compliance) to lead software quality and compliance activities. The role emphasizes DoD Secret clearance and security controls throughout the lifecycle.

You will work onsite with Agile and DevSecOps practices, collaborating with engineering, testing, safety, and hardware quality teams to drive risk-based improvements and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of quality or engineering experience in software, systems, or technical roles.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, code reviews, defect management, release processes, metrics, and risk analysis.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess software deliverables including requirements, defects, and test artifacts.
• Participate in peer reviews, control boards, tracking books, and audits.
• Ensure compliance of digital products with contractual requirements and partner inputs/outputs.
• Apply risk assessments, root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Leverage Agile and DevSecOps practices to improve processes and software quality.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Integration/Test, Safety, and Hardware Quality teams.
• Provide guidance to senior leadership, team members, and peers.
