You will identify and assess opportunities, develop trusted relationships with founders and executives, and collaborate with the M&A execution team through evaluation, offers, and closing.

This highly autonomous role requires a commercially-minded professional with sourcing instincts, investment judgment, and energy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or related field.
• Proven ability to source, qualify and advance acquisition opportunities.
• Experience engaging with founders, owners and executives with a research-driven origination.
• Understanding vertical-market software businesses or willingness to learn quickly.
• Clear point of view on applying AI to research, sourcing, prioritization, and workflow.
• Intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and strong communication.
• Willingness and ability to travel within US & Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build and proactively identify vertical-market software opportunities aligned with investment goals.
• Develop trusted relationships with founders, owners, and senior executives.
