Job summary

Seneca is building cutting-edge drone and sensor technology for wildfire suppression, seeking a senior software leader to architect and execute the company’s drone software across autonomy, controls, perception, and cloud infrastructure. You will lead a high-caliber engineering team and report to executive leadership, driving impactful, mission-critical systems.

You will mentor engineers, partner with hardware and product teams, and ensure field readiness through rigorous testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering in robotics or aerospace
• Experience leading engineers or teams
• Strong background in embedded and real-time systems

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software roadmap across autonomy and cloud systems
• Lead hands-on development and prototype building
• Recruit, mentor, and manage software engineers
• Collaborate with hardware and product teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Ensure field readiness and deployment in real-world scenarios
