Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer on the Drone Stack team to design and integrate autonomy systems spanning hardware and software. You will deploy algorithms in SIL, HIL, and live tests, integrating hardware with software across vehicle platforms.

You will work with embedded Linux, sensors, and data collection, collaborating with autonomy engineers to deliver robust, scalable solutions for defense and commercial customers. Strong C++ and robotics background is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years hands-on experience with robotic systems (hardware, software, integration).
• Experience in C++ preferred and robotics integration.
• Experience with Pixhawk autopilots (ArduPilot and/or PX4).
• Experience with Docker, Linux, and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate autonomy and vehicle intelligence systems across hardware and software domains.
• Deploy autonomy algorithms in SIL, HIL, and live test environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware-software integration and customer-facing demos.
• Support live flight tests and integration with UAVs and OEM hardware.
• Travel 10–20% for on-site integration and demonstrations.
