Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, seeks an experienced software engineering leader for the AF DCGS HBMS Sustainment and Development program in Aurora, CO. You will guide an Agile team to design, develop, and maintain secure, cloud‑enabled software, ensuring data integrity and availability while applying best practices across the engineering lifecycle.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Agile software development teams.
• Ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and maintain team cadence.
• Strong understanding of Agile metrics and using them to drive improvement.
• Proven ability to remove impediments and enable delivery.
• Experience aligning projects with objectives and customer needs.
• Experience sustaining and developing new features within Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality applications.
• Architect scalable solutions and ensure alignment with modern engineering best practices.
• Drive code quality through reviews, automated testing, CI, and secure development workflows.
• Implement, monitor, and enforce security standards across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, security, and operations to deliver reliable software.
• Mentor engineers, support technical decisions, and foster continuous improvement.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
