Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software IPT Lead/CAM to manage software, systems, and test engineering for the EGI-M program in Woodland Hills, CA. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, execution, and progress reporting to support airworthiness and DO-178 compliance.

The ideal candidate will have DoD program leadership, experience with EVM, and strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across cross‑functional teams and with the customer. Onsite work in California is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software/engineering with DoD experience.
• Experience leading software development teams.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and risk management.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cost account manager for software engineering.
• Oversee planning and execution of software functions for the EGI-M program.
• Set up and run scrum‑Agile ceremonies (PI planning, Sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Identify and mitigate software execution risks.
• Determine staffing needs across multiple scrum teams.
• Present execution plan progress to the customer and senior leadership.
• Collect and report program metrics and TPMs.
• Coordinate with System Architect, Chief Engineer, and customer to ensure program integrity.
• Review software artifacts for DO-178 compliance and airworthiness needs.
• Align objectives with program performance goals.
• Travel approximately 10% to customer, supplier, and Northrop Grumman locations.
