Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Software Integration & Test Principal Software Engineer (T03) to join our San Diego team, focusing on integration, testing, and deployment across complex system components.

Responsibilities include leading installation, integration, and acceptance testing, collaborating with software, systems, hardware engineers, and ensuring documentation and process improvement in a fast-paced, on-site environment with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related engineering experience or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience in integration and testing of software and hardware components in Unix and Windows environments.
Ability to lead installation, integration, and acceptance testing.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Security+ certification and U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Work in development, lab, and operational environments and ensure appropriate testing across environments.
Perform integration and troubleshooting of software components across multiple networks with documentation for future use.
Collaborate with software, system, and hardware engineers to diagnose and resolve problems during installation, integration, and testing.
Develop and execute software installation, integration, and acceptance test procedures.
Develop clear, concise technical documentation and submit detailed problem reports.
Drive best practices and process improvements across organizational units.
