Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Integration and Test Software Engineer to join our on-site team in San Diego, CA. You will perform software unit and integration testing, develop test automation, and collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineers within an IPT framework.

The role requires a STEM degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and practical experience in Unix/Windows environments, plus familiarity with the software life cycle and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and entry level related engineering experience.
• Experience in integration and testing of software and hardware components in Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies, requirements through test.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain initial SAP/PAR as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform software unit and integration test and test automation on the host environment.
• Work in development and lab environments; ensure integration and testing of components in complex systems.
• Perform integration and troubleshooting of software components across multiple networks interfacing with customer SMEs, documenting work for future use.
• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and integration/test engineers to diagnose and identify root causes.
• Utilize familiarity with full development life-cycle processes.
• Develop clear and concise detailed technical documentation.
• Submit detailed problem reports for errors found.
