Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the switching software team responsible for the Super Fabric Manager (SFM) and related products. The role is based at our headquarters in San Jose, CA.

You will own the design, development, and testing of networking software, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions in collaboration with product, security, and cross-functional teams. Strong hands-on networking software and management experience are required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on networking software development.
• 5+ years in software development management.
• Deep data center networking experience with SONiC OS or similar.
• Experience with AI networking use cases and backend/frontend development.
• Full stack: Node.js, Next.js, JavaScript, Go, C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test switching software products with end-to-end ownership.
• Mentor teammates, hire top engineers, and manage performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and security teams.
• Lead process improvements and share lessons learned in reviews.
• Create robust, secure, and scalable networking software and tools.
