Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager with exceptional networking software development and leadership experience to join our rapidly growing switch department. In this role, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of switching software products.

This position will be based at our headquarters in San Jose, CA. Senior leader with 12+ years in networking software and 5+ years in management, focusing on data center networking with SONiC OS or SDN.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in networking software development.
• 5+ years of extensive software development management experience.
• Deep expertise in data center networking with SONiC OS or similar, SDN experience required.
• Experience with AI networking use cases: backend/frontend/storage/HPC fabrics, observability & automation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of networking software design & development for the Super Fabric Manager (SFM).
• Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to meet project goals; mentor teammates and hire high-performance engineers.
• Lead cross-functional team discussions, drive collaboration and clear communication across orgs.
• Lead software testing automation, CD/CI tooling, and thorough documentation.
