Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for our San Jose headquarters to lead networking software development and drive architecture across the switch department. You will own major software components, guide teams, and collaborate with product managers to deliver high-quality networking solutions.

The role requires deep data center networking expertise, experience with SONiC OS or SDN, and hands-on leadership of full-stack development teams across backend and frontend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent experience.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years hands-on networking software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years software development management experience.
• Deep expertise in data center networking with SONiC OS or SDN experience.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of key applications in the Super Fabric Manager (SFM).
• Mentor teammates and hire high-performance engineers; lead team discussions for clarity.
• Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to meet project goals.
• Drive process improvements and build robust, secure, scalable network solutions.
• Lead testing automation, CD/CI, and practical diagnostics to resolve issues quickly.
