Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Software Manager to lead a high‑performing team delivering medical device software. You will mentor engineers, drive software updates, and align with quality, regulatory, and marketing to ensure compliant, reliable desktop applications with mobile/web support.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and strategic process improvements to advance the software lifecycle and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing software product development and 5+ years of software development team leadership.
• Experience developing software products in languages such as C++, C#, Javascript, Dart, Python, etc.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, SAFE).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers that design, develop, and verify software applications for medical devices (desktop first, then mobile/web).
• Manage sprint backlogs, assignments and track delivery.
• Collaborate with quality, regulatory and marketing within R&D.
• Drive best software development practices and scalable processes.
