Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Northampton, MA, is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead design and development of imaging systems critical to national defense. You will guide cross-functional teams, establish development standards, and mentor engineers while contributing to cost proposals and program execution.

The role requires US citizenship, DoD clearance eligibility, and extensive leadership experience in software engineering with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of related experience; Master’s degree preferred with 10+ years, or 16+ years total experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience leading cross-department project teams or across functions.
• Experience recruiting and hiring technical talent.
• Experience developing technical and cost volume inputs for proposals.
• Experience as a Cost Account Manager utilizing EVMS and program lifecycle.
• Able to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead software design and development processes from requirements to implementation.
• Drive efficient processes and conduct code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with software and systems managers to optimize development across the organization.
• Establish development processes and standards to boost productivity and performance.
• Mentor and guide team members on career development and growth.
