Realtor.com is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to lead and influence initiatives across the full software lifecycle from Austin, TX.
You will shape a strategic technology roadmap, align squads with product goals, and drive architectural improvements across frontend and backend systems. You will mentor a high-performing team, partner with product and design leadership, and own reliability, performance, and long-term enablers for scale.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years leading software engineering teams
- 8+ years related engineering experience
- Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or related field
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience with modern web architectures (React), backend (Python), PostgreSQL and AWS
Responsibilities
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable technology plans for your team
- Define priorities, scope, and sequencing for high-impact work
- Own the operational health of systems, including reliability and incident response
- Drive cross-functional alignment with product, design, and peer engineering teams
