JPMorgan Chase seeks a hands-on Senior Manager of Software Engineering within the TCIO Technology team to mentor engineers, drive technical strategy, and deliver scalable, secure platforms for global financial markets.

You will lead multi-team initiatives across Java/Python, AWS, microservices, AI-assisted development, and governance, shaping enterprise-wide engineering practices at a leading financial institution.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Proven track record of leading software engineering teams to deliver scalable platforms.
• Hands-on with design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expertise in Java or Python and AWS cloud services.
• Experience with microservices and RESTful API development.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and governance.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to the software engineering team on design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and sets team standards for output and collaboration.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability.
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams and leads evaluation with vendors and internal teams.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and ensures compliance and SLAs.
• Sets operating practices for enterprise AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation across teams.
• Leverages enterprise DevOps tools to drive efficiency and capacity unlock initiatives.
