Job summary

JPMorganChase in Texas is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead and coach multiple teams, shaping platform strategy and modernization with a cloud-first approach. You will drive AI-enabled efficiency, establish governance for enterprise tooling, and ensure secure, scalable microservices across the SDLC.

You’ll guide high-throughput systems, streaming engines, and CI/CD excellence, while collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, compliant software

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 2+ years of experience managing a team of Software Engineers.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience building highly scalable Java-based microservices.
• Practical cloud-native experience on AWS (EKS, ECS/Fargate, S3).
• Hands-on experience in high-throughput streaming using Kafka, Kinesis, Flink.
• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of AI-assisted development and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical coaching and advisory for multiple teams.
• Lead platform strategy and modernization (cloud-first, data-first) and AI enablement.
• Design secure, scalable microservices and review code.
• Develop production-grade code and advance SDLC best practices.
• Oversee near real-time streaming architectures with Kafka/Kinesis/Flink.
