Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification with 13 years of relevant experience (including 5 years leading technologists).
• Full-stack, cloud-native distributed systems design and delivery with high availability and scalability using Java, Spring, Python, or Camunda.
• Experience with high data volumes and PostgreSQL.
• Experience driving AI-enabled engineering practices with governance and secure data handling.
• Understanding of responsible AI usage, governance, resiliency, and security in engineering workflows.
• Experience with cloud technologies, software/product engineering methods, and modern best practices.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across matrixed organizations and deliver impact at scale.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and manage near-term delivery and long-term roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and business teams to shape plans, timelines, dependencies, and solutions for successful delivery.
• Translate complex problems into technical specifications for engineering teams.
• Own and deliver end-to-end low-latency solutions using modern technologies and best practices.
• Set direction and governance for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation.
• Apply AI-assisted development and automation tools within the SDLC to increase automation value.
• Collaborate with leadership on non-functional requirements, modernization, and control improvements.
• Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology functions.
• Lead technical forums to ensure architectural decisions support broader strategy.
• Drive adoption of AWS and internal cloud technologies for engineering teams.
• Build and maintain technology roadmaps and stakeholder alignment.
• Govern coding decisions, control obligations, and success measures like maintainability and total cost of ownership.
