Senior Software Engineer – Test Equipment
Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate object‑oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on a Windows operating system.
- Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
- Troubleshoot software and test‑equipment instrumentation.
- Work in a multidiscipline engineering team environment.
- Develop and derive requirements for software products.
Qualifications – Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (or an advanced degree) and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Five years of experience developing and integrating software applications using C, C#, C++, Java, Python, or Visual Basic in a test environment.
- Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Qualifications – Preferred
- Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques.
- Experience developing software drivers for hardware interfaces.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, RS‑422, and other common hardware interface protocols.
- Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation and electronics such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
- Experience with UML, Waterfall, and Agile development lifecycles.
- Knowledge of software configuration management and tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Server or GitHub.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
