Job summary

firstPRO US is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in a hybrid role based in Andover, MA. The candidate will lead architecture, design, development, and testing of product software, driving process improvements to boost efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.

You will collaborate with engineers and testers across all phases, design robust architectures, implement maintainable code, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with FDA and internal SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in CS or EE preferred.
• 5–8 years in software design, analysis, troubleshooting; or 3–6 with a Master’s.
• Strong Windows app development and debugging in Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software across all development phases.
• Design and develop software architectures; deliver well-tested, maintainable code.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects independently.
• Provide technical leadership, guide design decisions, and mentor engineers.
• Coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery of software modules and subsystems.
• Perform unit, subsystem, and integration testing and promote best practices.
